NSSF First Shots Intro to firearms

Class Description

Designed for people with no firearms experience who have an interest in learning how to shoot a handgun or a rifle (including AR platform) but do not yet own a firearm of their own or they own one that they do not know how to use.

This course will provide a safe & enjoyable first exposure to firearms shooting.  In 2-3 hours we will introduce and demonstrate the basics of firearm safety, fundamentals of grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control in a “dry handling” session.

A range session can be scheduled and is sometimes available the same day as the classroom portion. We utilize an outdoor range in Waynesville. If the student does not have their own firearm then we will provide one which will be a .22lr semi-automatic with up to 50 rounds of ammo in either a handgun or rifle depending on the class taken.
