This course will address the important questions that almost everyone has about the legal framework, psychological issues, and tactical realities of an armed self-defense encounter. In the real world, these events are never the way they are portrayed in the media, and the “folk wisdom” that surrounds the subject is usually dangerously wrong. This class is designed to give the individual who already possesses or carries a firearm for self-defense a basic understanding of the issues involved, and to assist those who are contemplating this in making an informed decision.
This course will consist of about 3 hours of classroom material. Part one of this course deals with the major legal issues involved in armed self-defense. Part two will focus on recognizing and dealing with the psychological and physiological responses to a critically threatening event. Part three will address dealing with the aftermath of a critically threatening encounter, including what to expect in the law enforcement response.
Course Goal: To familiarize the student with the basic legal information and framework that applies to armed self-defense. Prepare the student for the law-enforcement, legal, and psychological events that can be expected during and after such an encounter.

Prerequisites: None. If you already own or carry a firearm for self-defense, this is information you should have. If you are considering this, it will assist you in making that decision.
Group Rates: There are Group rates available for this class. 4+ students: $4000 To be eligible for the group rate you must call or stop in and schedule your class. Payment of 50% is required at time of scheduling with the balance due one week prior to scheduled class.
